More Than Eight Decades of Bringing Top-Notch Interiors

Hans Knoll, the son of a pioneering German furniture manufacturer, established the Knoll company in New York City one year after immigrating from Germany. He married Florence Schust, a Cranbrook graduate who had previously worked for Gropius and Breuer, in 1946. The following year, they launched a textiles division and showroom flanked by some of the world's leading designers. Hans Knoll established Knoll furniture in New York City in 1938. In 1950, manufacturing plants were relocated to Pennsylvania. Following Han's death in 1955, his wife Florence took over the Company. Hans and Florence Knoll's story is one of perseverance, creativity, and passion. Building on the Bauhaus movement's ideals and the European modernist visual style, the couple gathered the world's most significant talent for inclusion in their well-curated collections.

Knoll currently has dealers in over 50 countries, and they serve both local businesses and a diverse range of multinational corporations that necessitate consistently excellent workplace standards throughout their companies globally.
